PROGRAMS & EVENTS FOR 2008
Be part of Williamsport's finest tradition – the 52nd annual Way's Garden Art & Craft Show held on Sunday, June 8, 2008, from noon to 4 p.m. at Way's Garden, corner of West Fourth and Maynard Streets, Williamsport Pennsylvania. "An Old Fashioned Sunday in the Park," this free event will feature arts, crafts, music, and a special "Children's Art Corner" in the park that day.
Established in 1946, the Ways Garden show has provided an exhibition opportunity for artists from all over the county and beyond, to present their works in a non-juried atmosphere. All art forms are welcomed and are valued as an intricate part of our rich artistic community. This show is a unique venue for the celebration of the creative process. The combining of all art forms is for the benefit of the participating artists and the visitors as well. What a great way to present your work, network with other artists, share your passion for art, and (hopefully) make a few sales, all in an atmosphere that is full of support and fun.
Since this event is held outdoors rain or shine, be sure to bring everything you need to display and protect your work. Bring as many pieces as you want that will fit into an approximately 10 x 10 space. Demonstrations are welcome, and are sure to draw public attention. If you are unsure if your presentation or demonstration is welcome, please call or email us and we will be happy to work with you.
There will be many events happening in the Ways Garden area so be sure to bring your friends and family. If a steady rain is forecast for the day, the show will be held inside the gym of the YWCA.
This event draws people from all over the state and we are expecting

Second Annual Eve Archer Award
This is the 52nd year of the Way's Garden Art & Craft Show. This annual event continues to this day through the volunteering efforts of many but under the leadership of a few. One of the most important figures in the Ways Garden Show is Eve Archer, whose efforts are now celebrated by the Eve Archer Award. This prize is a public vote for the best in show. So please take a moment and fill out a vote. Eve's vision of making this show "open to all artists" is a vision that we still share today. The Bald Eagle Art League continues to honor Eva Archer and her past leadership in keeping this show an annual event and offering this award.

Please invite family and friends to enjoy a wonderful day at the art
show. While here, be sure to visit the Strawberry Festival across the
street at Trinity Episcopal Church. Also, the Repasz Band will play
from 1:30 to 2:30.
Call for Artists and Timeline
May 9, 2008 - Application due to ensure name is printed in the program.
June 8, 2008 - Registration and Setup: 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Art show hours: 12 noon - 4 p.m.
Take down and clean: 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Registration and Setup: Register upon arrival: 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Space is granted first come, first serve. You may set up and display within a 6 x 6 or 10 x 10 Perimeter anywhere within the Way's Garden fence.
Liability & Insurance: Bald Eagle Art League, WLAC, and the Way's Garden Commission assume no liability, stated or implied, for the artwork or crafts displayed in the show. You are expected to provide your own insurance.

Rules and regulations: This is a non-juried event that is open to the
public; please choose work that is appropriate for public display. Due
to Way's Garden regulations, nothing may be sold within the fenced perimeter.
Please make all money transactions outside of the fence. All applicants
must abide by the rules and regulations of Way's Garden as posted.
